This week is Senior High camp for grades 10-12! It runs from today until Thursday.
?Cookies, Cookies, Cookies! The campers will consume 13 dozen every day!!
6 camps x 5 days at 13 dozen a day = lots and lots of cookies! Many are needed and we could certainly use your help! Please list ingredients and put any baking in the freezer in the garage of the “youth house”. Thanks in advance for serving camp kids in this way.
Memorial Project– YOU can help finish the Dining Hall Chimney! Helping is simple! As you make your way out to Camp this summer we encourage you to stop in the Gravel Pit along the way and pick out a few stones. We need rounded stones that are tennis ball to melon sized (7 inch max). Then just deposit them in the sand by the chimney. The more people that do this the faster the job gets done! Let’s do it together!
Sat @ 10am Coffee with Connie! All parents of the youth are encouraged to come with their lawn chairs and questions for Connie to the backyard at the youth house.
12 noon Potluck picnic with Connie! at Avondale Park for all the youth.
7pm Evening with Connie! for youth leaders and young adults
Sunday morning Connie will be with us for the morning service and there will be a BBQ to follow. After lunch the Overseers will meet with Connie.
Wednesday, July 21, following the candidating weekend with Connie Roy there will be a Congregational Meeting at 7pm.
Summer nursery Care
We have a few Sundays in the Nursery that you could serve the littlest ones of our congregation. Still available are July 4, 18, and 25. Then we have August,1, 15, and 29. Please speak to Christine Sutherland if you can serve in this way. Sadly, if the dates do not have adequate coverage the nursery door will be closed.
Summer is here!
Only 11 weeks until Sunday school begins! Pastor Randy is looking for folks to join both the CE Board and Sunday school team. Teachers,
assistants, as well as worship members, background snack people and craft people. There are even things you can do during the week if you are unable to serve on Sunday! Please speak with Pastor Randy today to inquire about how you can support this vital ministry and be blessed along the way!
Keep it clean
Please make sure that when your group, or you individually use the church facilities that you are careful to clean up afterwards. If you use a cup or glass, please wash it. If you use a stack of chairs, please return them. Let’s help our friendly janitors keep the church building clean and tidy.

Ted Wood will be preaching on May 30, and it will be a sequel to the sermon he preached last March (last year’s sermon dealt with the “Atheist Busses” illustration, knowing we are in a spiritual battle, and listening to God.)
If you would like a refresher you can find last year’s sermon at his website at
http://www.woodphotographics.ca/mclaurin
He will also have a couple copies on DVD if you catch him Sunday morning.
Loren Thomas served as a trainee with YWAM last year in several countries. Recently he has been invited to
assist YWAM as a trainer in their New Zealand
Program. Loren and his parents, Dave and Esther, have been a part of the McLaurin fellowship for a number of years. As mentioned last Sunday by Pastor Peter, we want to partner with Loren with our prayers and
finances in this faith venture. For those who would like to donate to Loren’s ministry in New Zealand, make your checks payable to: Youth With A Mission (BC) Society and designate your gift “for the ministry of Loren
Thomas”. You will receive a tax deductible receipt for your check from YWAM (not McLaurin). Your gift can be dropped into the offering box at the back of the church or presented to the church office next door.
BAKE & FREEZE!
Please take advantage of these cooler days and bake some cookies for camp! Campers need cookies all summer long. Please label containers with ingredients and because of allergies, no nuts please. Your help is appreciated!
?Camp is still accepting donations towards the Well Project. The Camp well was drilled in October 2009, and to date we’ve raised $7500 of our $24 000 goal. Please consider helping us with this project.
?We’re accepting Staff applications RIGHT NOW! All Volunteer and Staff positions need to be filled! For a listing of positions please visit the website. Every year Camp Wapiti relies on upwards of 100 volunteers to run it’s programs smoothly. Whether an afternoon, or a whole week, your help is greatly appreciated!!
